Come celebrate Winery Wednesday with us as we feature Elevee Winegrowers!
Élevée Winegrowers is a “Study in Terroir”, focused on uncovering the most exciting and dramatic Expressions of Pinot noir and Cool Climate Whites, that we believe are found by identifying the most exciting and dramatic Environments in which to grow them. Named “Élevée” for our elevated vineyards that all lie within a narrow band spanning 450-800ft. We are "Winegrowers" because to us, our growing decisions are winemaking decisions. Our winemaking begins early in the year, in the vineyard, months before any grapes reach our facility. The way we farm and handle our wines continues to change and evolve as we explore and discover better ways to frame, expose, and render the “magic” of each site. All our vineyards are LIVE Certified Sustainable or Demeter Certified Biodynamic, dry-farmed, full cover, no-till, with no herbicide use. After years making wine in Washington, New Zealand, Napa Valley, and Burgundy, unexpected learnings at UC Davis from my Viticulture & Enology Master Thesis research, reinforced by observations made while making wine in Morey-St-Denis with Domaine Hubert Lignier, motivated a move to Oregon to build our Terroir-focused, Sustainable, small family winery from scratch in 2008.
Winery Wednesday is an exclusive event series where we spotlight a different winery. Discover new flavors, meet the winery representative, and learn about the stories behind the bottles. Whether you are a seasoned connoisseur or a casual sipper, Winery Wednesday is the perfect opportunity to try newly discovered wines, before making the trip to wine country. Cheers to a new wine experience every week!
